Savannah formed our Common Thread Community out of a desire to create a space for artists of all kinds to share a platform.  She saw numerous talented people displaying their art individually and longed for a way to unite these creators.  After spending years writing her own pieces on her personal website, she felt led to start a gallery for others to tell their stories.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education from Delta State University, Savannah began pursuing a Master of Divinity at George W. Truett Theological Seminary focusing in World Christianity and Witness.  Her writings have been published by Eight Hundred Words and Windrose Magazine.  You can read more by Savannah on her website

Words in the Crevice.  She is the author of the poetry books Seaway and Oasis, available on Amazon.

Savannah contributes writing to our community, specifically poetry.

Annalise loves to write in a way that expresses her inner thoughts and emotions, while
inviting others to do the same. Poetry in particular, has provided her the perfect outlet to
capture memories and reflections in her personal journal, transforming them into pieces of art to be shared with others. Her journey began with a few short poems, but after attending a poetry night where Savannah (Founder) shared stories behind her poetry book Seaway, she was inspired to pursue poetry with greater intent.
Annalise is a senior at Baylor University, studying Communication Sciences and
Disorders with a concentration in speech-pathology. After graduation, she hopes to remain at Baylor to pursue a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology to become a licensed speech therapist. She is passionate about helping others find their voice whether that is through speaking, writing, signing, or other forms of communication.
In the summer, she loves to travel to new locations as well as serve at camp where she enjoys soaking in the beauty of God’s creation.

Jessica is a writer of songs, poems, devotionals, and meaningful musings. She is primarily a singer and a songwriter, and has released three albums of original music: “Wallflower” (2013), “Someplace Calling Me” (2017), and “Where the Sky Meets the Ground” (2019).  You can listen to her music on all major digital platforms.

Jessica earned her Bachelor's degree of Entertainment Industry Studies and a Master of Business Administration from Delta State University with the intent of working in the music and entertainment industry. But, after giving her life to Christ, she felt the call to be a missionary.

Currently, she is traveling as a music director and pianist for Life Action, a ministry that facilitates revival conferences across the country with the mission of "inspiring your next yes to God." These days, the people, places, and undeniable acts of God she experiences through this ministry are what fuel her writing.

Jam has always had a heart for experiencing earth to the fullest and capturing moments in God’s creation. She believes in celebrating the little things in life and appreciating the present. Her hope is that her photography is a reflection of this belief.

Jamie graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2020 with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. Photography started as a stress reliever for her when she wasn’t studying for her classes. Her camera quickly became one of her must haves whenever she went on adventures with friends and family. She hopes to continue and strengthen her abilities in this hobby as a contributor to A Common Thread.

Jamie contributes photographs to our community. Her goal is to hopefully share the joys she sees in life, and encourage others to find the beauty in the present.

Hannah is a creator of poetry and fiction. She is a recent graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree in English, and, after reading hundreds of books, poems, and short stories, she decided to try her hand at creating worlds of her own.

She is currently living in Oxford, MS with her cat, Fitzgerald, as she's working and learning in the English department at Ole Miss as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

One day, she hopes to teach literature, and she wants to teach her students by leading by example. It's okay to be vulnerable. It's okay to try to find yourself within the words and between the lines. Maybe, just maybe, her own work will be a testament to the freedom of letting it all flow from your heart in a cascade onto a sheet of paper.
