Introspection

Verse 1:

When I look inside, I’m all too often ashamed of what I find

Fears, hurts, insecurities too, I convince myself my heart is not the place for you

Verse 2:

But sometimes, I look and find the unexpected

Hidden talents, unique passions, a love for life

And I wonder at this, it all seems so out of place in this dim heart of mine

Verse 3:

But then I come to realize the beauty of it I can only credit to you

Glory prints graciously left in the space in which you dwell

That I might find them each in time

To renew and captivate this love of mine

Pre-chorus:

For the very things you’ve hidden as treasures inside

Are evidence of your presence, intentionality with me

Chorus:

When I forget who I am, there I’ll find you

And just maybe it seems

I’ll find myself too

Verse 4:

So now I’ll venture to look inside

The hearts of those who trust me

And hope that I find the same prints

Of glory which are unmistakably

Evidence of you

Chorus
