Look Up

Fearful to lose my balance on this crooked ground

Afraid to stumble over loose rocks

I wandered aimlessly, eyes set low, where little is to be found

It seems I continue on like this forever, yet Heaven knocks

‘Look up’ he said to me, grandeur awaits you to behold it

Hues of blues and pinks and oranges, all in a symphony of bursting color

The view, granting clarity and rest, reigns me into the present

Exposing the darkness within me, drawing me to the light of multicolor

If I should take anything from this moment, this divine encounter

My soul would be all the gladder, setting its gaze on that which is above

A Whisper.

Of Love.
