Unravel

What does it mean when something unravels? It falls apart right? Falling apart can be a good and necessary thing sometimes. It can be hard to admit that we need to fall apart. When I feel furthest away from Christ, I tend to try and run away from Him instead of running into his loving arms. The meaning behind this illustration resembles us allowing God to unravel our hearts to reveal things about us that we didn’t necessarily want to see. I want to allow myself to experience the realness of God’s love. I want God to unravel the parts in me that need to be revealed and then he will stitch me back together with His Grace. Slowly but surely, God starts to stitch the threads back together until ours are stitched into His.

Inspired by the song "Threads" by David Leonard
